The Cast of American Idiot Fire Their '21 Guns' on The Early Show

Forgoing the rock ‘n roll lifestyle of staying up all night and sleeping all day, the cast of the Tony-nominated musical American Idiot woke up bright and early on June 10 to perform on CBS’ The Early Show. John Gallagher Jr., Rebecca Naomi Jones, Stark Sands, Christina Sajous, Michael Esper and Mary Faber led the Idiot ensemble in a rocking rendition of the show’s hit song “21 Guns.” Afterwards host Julie Chen chatted with the cast about possible Tony jitters, bonding with the show’s composers Green Day, and what its like for the Idiot ladies to put a feminine touch on male rock music.
